Fresh air is one of the top things I am worried about in my home for myself and my family. We spend hours inside each day and night so it’s important that we are breathing as clean of air as possible. I also have a home full of kids, pets and lots of kitchen smells to add to the air. Finding non-toxic air fresheners is not the easiest so I wanted to share the best non-toxic all natural wall plug-in and other air fresheners on the market. As with anything there are some downsides to even natural plug-in air fresheners so you have to determine what is most important to you.

The good news is there are several non-toxic options to use as air fresheners for your home. The bad news is there is only one product I found comfortable recommending as a non-toxic wall plug-in. The rest of the plug-in products I researched had ingredients I’m not comfortable stating are non-toxic because they have some scientific data showing they can indeed cause long-term health issues and are classified as synthetic fragrances.

As with anything “natural” or non-toxic be sure to check the ingredient list to make sure the ingredients align with lifestyle. Many companies label their products as “clean” and containing only natural fragrances but its often marketing to get you to think you’re making a better choice.

It’s possible their products are slightly less toxic but many companies I found were still using products like Eugenol, an often synthetic chemical fragrances that can cause skin irritation and potentially hormone disruption. There were also using Geraniol which has similar effects to Eugenol. Both these chemicals have been found to be safe by both the FDA and EU in small amounts but are both noted as potential allergens so I prefer to avoid them.

What is the best non-toxic wall plug-in?

Scent Fill is the best non-toxic wall plug-in option. Scent fill is essentially just like the conventional wall plug-ins but completely non-toxic. All you do is pick a scent pod, plug it in and your ready to transform the smell of any room. It is VOC free (minus the essential oils that contact VOC’s as listed above), can last up to 45 days and has 1100 5 star reviews on amazon.

Scent Fill wall plug-in plugged into a plug, scent fill is the best non-toxic all natural wall plug-in

I love that I can actually read the ingredients list in each of their products, about 95% of which are essential oils. This is essentially a tiny essential oil diffuser but all the different scents are prepackaged in scent pod refills that you just plug in and enjoy. You can by a kit with the refillable plug hub, just the scents, or just the hub separately to meet whatever your needs are.

What is the problem with traditional plug-in air fresheners?

Traditional air-fresheners are full of synthetic fragrances that smell wonderful but can be very toxic for your health. They typically have hundreds of different harmful chemicals that have been directly linked to allergies, respiratory problems and indoor air pollution. Pregnant women should be especially concerned about traditional air-fresheners due to their potential to cause reproductive issues.

What is wrong with synthetic fragrances?

Synthetic fragrances are considered a trade secret and therefore companies do not have to reveal what is in it, which again is typically toxic chemicals that can cause a host of health problems for both people and pets.

Synthetic fragrances contain a mixture of chemicals but often have phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, benzene derivatives, ethylene glycol enters and acetaldehyde. Many of these chemicals are carcinogens, endocrine disrupters, and trigger allergies.

This study discusses some of the biggest issues with synthetic fragrances and links to other scholarly studies on the topic.

Do plug-in air fresheners have volatile organic compounds (VOC’s)?

Yes, most air fresheners contain VOC’s. VOCs are chemicals released into the air from various chemicals. Both traditional and natural plug-ins can release VOC’s so it’s important to look into the brand you choose and ensure that you’re comfortable with the level you could be exposing your family to.

Traditional plug-ins VOC’s are typically from phthalates and formaldehyde which have been proven to increase the risk of serious health problems.

How do non-toxic plug-ins release VOC’s?

Non-toxic plug-ins can use essential oils as their natural scents, essential pools contain limonene, linalool and alpha-pinene which all release VOC’s into the air. Citrus oils, pine oil, lavender oil, eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil all contain VOC’s that are released when they are diffused in essential oil diffusers, air sprays, or plug ins. These are considered to be less toxic than VOC’s released from synthetic fragrances but could still cause health problems.

Do all wall plug-ins and room sprays contain VOC’s?

No, not all wall plug-ins and air fresheners contain VOC’s, there are many zero-VOC ones to choose from. I note if there are VOC’s in the brands I recommend here!

Best uses for wall plug-ins

Wall plug-ins are often used in living rooms where people spend a large amount of their waking time. They are of course used to help eliminate unpleasant odors and bad odors in the home.

Some people use them in their bedrooms to help with creating a calm, peaceful, and relaxing sleep environment.

Bathrooms are a popular place for obvious reasons. Kitchens are also a popular place after meals have been to prepared to help eliminate odors from a meal.

Are there any alternatives to wall plug-ins or spray air freshener to reduce odors in the home?

Yes there are several all-natural alternatives to use in place of not only conventional air fresheners but also non-toxic spray air fresheners. Air purifiers, baking soda, vinegar, reed diffusers, wax warmers, and charcoal are all considered natural alternatives to spray air fresheners.

Air Purifiers are a popular alternative that can reduce odor and improve indoor air quality in your home. I personally own 3 air purifiers that I have running pretty much all the time and have noticed a huge reduction in odor and dust in my home.

Baking soda is another great alternative to reduce odors in the home. You can actually just stout containers/bowls of baking soda and it will absorb the bad smell. This is very popular for the refrigerator since it’s a smaller contained space. Many sprinkle baking soda on the carpet before vacuuming to help reduce or eliminate odor there as well.

Vinegar is said to reduce odors as well. This one is a bit of a contradiction because it initially can cause what many to consider an unpleasant odor but is supposed to then eliminate the odor that it is targeted at. I personally use a DIY vinegar cleaner throughout my home and find it does help with eliminating grim and odors.

Reed diffusers are another alternative to spray air fresheners and can offer similar effects. A reed diffuser uses reed sticks placed halfway in an essential oil mixture. The mixture moves up the sticks and then releases a pleasant scent into the room. These should be utilized for small spaces because they will not be able to fill larger ones easily. These are very portable and can be placed on a window sill, kitchen tables, side tables and do not need any electricity to work!

Solid air freshener is another alternative to spraying something into the air. Solid air fresheners typically come in gels, waxes or crystals. These can often be filled with toxic chemicals but the fact they are not spraying into the air is a huge plus. Air wick is a super popular conventional version of this style of freshener, there are not a ton a non-toxic ones but I’ll list the ones I am aware of. Solid air fresheners typically come in gels, waxes or crystals.

Charcoal based products. Charcoal is well-known for being an odor eliminator by absorbing bad smells. Some companies make air fresheners that have charcoal in them thanks to this odor absorbing property.

What are other non-toxic options for standard air fresheners?

Reed Diffusers

Reed Diffusers are a great choice because they do not require electricity and release less VOC’s than aerosol sprays or wall plug-ins. There are several non-toxic options and the fact that they aren’t an aerosol spray means they can add less chemicals to them that allow them to disperse in a fine mist into the air. While looking for some of the best non-toxic options I found it really hard to get a company to reveal their ingredients. I’m not down with anyone unwilling to share what’s in their product so my recommendations are from companies who believe in safety and transparency.

Earth Easy is a great brand that makes all natural diffuser blends from 100% essential oils. These are considered long lasting due tot he high essential oil content and no alcohol in their recipe.

Plant therapy has a great non-toxic option for a reed diffuser. I have used this brand for all my essential oil needs for the last several years and love the quality. This reed diffuser is of course, essential oil based but does contain Isopropyl myristate which can cause skin issues. Its not a VOC but something to be aware of if you’re not comfortable with it.

Wax Warmers

Wax melts or warmers are another way to reduce, mask or eliminate odor in your home. They like many other things fragrances are hard to find brands that are transparent with their ingredients. You also want to ensure they contain wax that is plant-based versus paraffin for non-toxic and environmental choices.

Kermode wax melts seem to be a great choice. They don’t disclose their ingredients but specifically state that they use soy wax, essential oils are free of dyes, phthalate, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other potentially harmful chemicals. They have great reviews and are made in the US!

Farm Raised is another wax melt that seems like a great choice. They also do not disclose their ingredients but utilize soy wax, essential oils and state they are free of dyes, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, and other toxic ingredients. They have several scents, are US made and have good ratings on Amazon.

Air Freshener Spray

There are several great non-toxic air freshener sprays on the market. These can be used to spray fabrics or just the air in general.

Fresh wave is a great choice for all natural spray air fresheners. They have no harsh chemicals, synthetic perfumes, alcohol, or phthalates. They do reveal most of their ingredients outside of their proprietary brand blend. They have great reviews on Amazon as well.

Saje is a wellness brand that has all non-toxic, wall natural room sprays made from just water and essential oils. They reveal their entire ingredients list on their website and sell numerous other products including a reed diffuser.

Charcoal Products

There are numerous Charcoal products on the market that can reduce and eliminate odors in your home.

My favorite is the Attitude Living charcoal air purifier which is is made with charcoal and essential oils. It absorbs odor and then also releases a fresh scent. It’s supposed to last up to 6 weeks and actually eliminate odors thanks to the charcoal and resin.

This little Chada Magic Rock is a really cool concept. There isn’t a ton of science supporting the claims but its made from tropical charcoal that is supposed to be able to absorb odors, excess moisture and EMFs. They don’t have a ton of reviews but the ones they do have state they work great for reducing odors.

Bamboo Charcoal Bags are a great choice to reduce the odor in your home. These do not release any smells but absorb order really well. They have great reviews on Amazon and no chemicals to worry about!

I’m going to wrap my list up here but there are still several other options you could use. I have three air purifiers in my home which I think have greatly reduced the odor in my home. I also love to use simmer pots, they are an eco-friendly way to use scraps from leftovers. Let me know what you utilize in your home to reduce odor? Is there something I can add to this list?

Easy DYI Cleaner

So many household cleaners on the market can actually damage you health and your families. The biggest issues with traditional cleaners are fragrances and the mile long list of chemicals in them. Making your own all natural cleaner with household items is a huge win for you health, home and family. The recipe I am sharing today is my favorite effective go to cleaner to use all over my home. I also have a couple tricks to boost the effeciency if you have some really stuck-on messes you need to get clean.

What are the ingredients for this easy all natural cleaner?

These ingredients are are very common household products and most homes already have them. If you don’t have them already, no worries, they are super cheap to pickup at any big box store or even off amazon.

  • Water
  • White Vinegar
  • Dish Soap

Does it matter what type of ingredients I use?

So yes and no! I would not use any other type of vinegar other than white. Its possible apple cider and others could work but I have not tested it and am unsure of the acidity content to ensure it would be as effective as possible.

As far as dish soap you can use any kind of dish soap. I use a fragrance and dye free version from Costco, which is probably not the cleanest but its what I currently have. You cannot use Castile soap in this. Castile soap and vinegar do not mix and will cause a weird textured mess that isn’t easy to clean up.

Water can be tap water or whatever you have on hand. For sure do not feel like you need to purchase spring water or distilled water for this recipe, your tap water is totally fine. I personally like to use warm water to start to boost the cleaning power but then just keep the rest at room temperature and use it until I make another batch!

How long does this cleaner last?

So I make smaller batches so I typically use it within 2 weeks to 1 month. Vinegar’s longevity is and shelf life is debatable but many sources state around 2-3 years is a good timeline to ensure it is still potent, safe and effective. There are not really a lot of studies for how long this specific cleaner recipe lasts. Because vinegar, dish soap and water are all safe for long periods of time this cleaner probably has a shelf life that is longer than a month. I personally like to make a new batch if its been sitting for 1-2 months just to be on the safe side since I am cleaning surfaces that my kids and pets touch.

How can you use this cleaner?

Cleaning counter with all natural cleaner

So my favorite uses for this cleaner are my countertops, bathtubs, and mirrors. I was shocked recently when I tried it as a glass cleaner and felt it worked better than the classic toxic blue cleaner I had grown up using! I also use this on my tile floors with no issues or residue that some other “natural” cleaners leave behind.

Does it actually clean?

Yes! Now don’t get it confused with a disinfectant though. This cleans, kills germs and even kills some viruses like e.coli and salmonella! The vinegar is a natural powerhouse that really does leave your surfaces cleaner but it does have some limits. It has not been shown to clean flu and covid viruses so if those are concerns all around your home you need to step-up to another product that has a bit more punch. This cleaner is perfect for everyday messes, dirt and grime in the bathrooms, and gross surfaces all around your home. This article here goes over some of the science side of vinegars https://www.nsf.org/blog/consumer/reliable-scientific-tips-cleaning-with-vinegar.

10 Best Large Glass Drinking Bottles https://thekindanaturalmom.com/10-best-large-glass-drinking-bottles/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=10-best-large-glass-drinking-bottles Tue, 15 Feb 2022 04:35:41 +0000 https://thekindanaturalmom.com/?p=362 Read more

Looking for the best large glass drinking bottles? No worries, I got you covered! Most people know or have at least heard that drinking from single use plastic water bottles isn’t great for you. One of the biggest reasons in the fact that plastic from those bottles easily leaches into water. Time magazine mentions a study that found that 93% of bottles are contaminated by microplastics. This same article discusses the negative effects microplastics have on humans with links to diabetes, obesity, and cancer. Not to mention plastic is literally destroying the planet so ditch it!

Thankfully the plastic bottle pandemic is has an easy solution, glass bottles! There are a ton of glass drinking bottles on the market but here I am sharing my favorite large glass drinking bottles. I personally prefer large bottles because it’s less work, work smarter not harder. Give me a 32 ounces bottle and I only need around 3 fill-ups that day verses a 16 or 20 where I need 7-8 fill-ups. Obviously larger ones also get the win if you’re heading out for the day without the ability to easily refill on the go.

The links in this article are affiliate links which means if you choose to buy through that link it gives me a small commission. This helps support the work I do here at The Kinda Natural Mom and is always appreciated.

Ok so onto the best picks out there. A few things I look for are thickness of glass, price, and reviews/experiences of others. I would love to say no plastic but unfortunately many of the tops are plastic but for me thats something I can live with.

BKR

BKR Water Bottle

This is a pretty popular brand! I bought one of these a few years ago and love the durability of it! I also always get compliments on it because it does stand out a bit! I bought a spike one firstly because it was in sale but I’m actually real glad I did because it helps with grip. My bottle is 32ounces and I honestly think the silicon sleeve without the spikes would be hard to grip because the bottle itself is fairly wide! They also have a cap you can buy separately that also has lip balm attached, so a fun quirk! My only other con for this bottle is the narrow mouth means you won’t be able to put ice in easily at all! They also aren’t the best price (hints why I grabbed one on sale) but they do last!

Hydrojug

Hyrdojug Water Bottle

This company just recently came out with their glass version of their very popular jug! This one is nice because it has the wide mouth, holds 64 ounces (so it’s really big) and has a straw for easy sipping! The top is plastic but that doesn’t bother me cause I only drink cold or room temp water and hand wash the top! They are a bit more price friendly, especially for their size! The quality is great as well, it doesn’t feel as durable as the BKR but still very sturdy! They also have the silicon sleeve and 5 different fairly neutral colors.

Natural Life

Natural Life Water Bottle

This is a small company focused on eco-friendly products. They sell a cute 32oz glass bottle that has the drink reminders printed on the side! They have a smaller version as well but honestly for the size, quality and price you can’t beat that 32oz! The biggest draw back is that they do not come with any sleeve of any kind so you’d have to purchase that separately but they also have really cute quirky sleeves!

Hydromate

Hydromate Water Bottle

This is a 32 ounce bottle that has the little refill reminders with it. It is a strong durable frosted glass design and a metal cap which is a nice difference from a lot of the other bottles on this list. It’s leak-proof, durable but does not come with a silicon sleeve. It is also not dishwasher safe which is the only drawback in my opinion.

Ferexer

This next one is a random amazon find but it might be my favorite one! It’s 32 ounces, has a straw and has no plastic in the lid! It comes in lots of cute designs, includes a silicon sleeve and the price is the best on this list for the size! It also has a wide mouth so you can add ice or fruit slices! The other cool thing is the straw kinda pops out when you open the lid so you don’t have to dig around trying to find it. They also have a 48 ounce if you’re looking for a larger one!

Sursip

Ok so I know I said the last one was probably my favorite but this one is basically a tie! It’s 32 ounces, has no plastic in the lid, and comes with fun accessories. It has an ice cube tray that makes narrow ice cube trays so you don’t have to worry about the narrow opening and regular cubes! I don’t know that everyone will think the next accessory is fun but it’s a cleaning brush for the bottle, clean is fun right?! It has the drink markers if you need a little push to get your water down throughout the day and comes with a silicon sleeve. This price is actually the same as the Ferexer above so technically they are both the best price on the list!

Gulujoy

64 ounce Water Bottle

This is another big one at 64 ounces. It does have some plastic in the top but they created this o-ring that ensures your water never touches the plastic which is a nice extra thoughtful design step. The plastic is there to ensure a leak proof seal. The lid comes with a little handle to carry this massive bottle as well as a sleeve to help protect against breakage.

MUKOKO Tumbler

Pink 32oz Water Bottle

This bottle is cool because you can convert it to two different styles with the tops. You can use the plastic top for a sealable on the go or the bamboo lid to make it a siping tumbler style with the straw. I prefer the tumbler style for sure. It includes ounces and time markers on the side, apparently the time thing is super in right now haha. Its 32 ounces which is again a great size. It comes with a lot of nice colors, cute design and the silicon sleeve is included. The price is also just one dollar more than the two above which is a great deal!

MUKAKO Jug

Blue 42oz Water Bottle

This is the same company as the tumbler above. This one is a bit larger at 42 ounces. I really like the simple design and the carry handle is different from any I’ve seen before. It has a wide mouth, straw, silicon sleeve and plastic cap. The straw is removable so you can drink without it with no issues as well! It comes in less colors but they are all a very simple and clean.

Purifyou

Last but not least is this simple narrow mouth water glass bottle. It comes in multiple sizes with the largest currently at 32 ounces. It has over 5000 reviews on Amazon and it still sitting at 4.5https://amzn.to/3gKfCFw stars so its tried and true! Surprise, surprise it has the time markings like many others but they are very discrete if thats not your thing. The top has a stainless steel insert for the part the touches the water and then the rest is plastic. The top is nice that is a ring for to make it a bit easier to hold and the silicon sleeve has notches which make for easy holding as well. There are many colors available depending on the size you choose.

So that wraps up my list of best large glass water bottles for your beverage consumption. Be sure to read the directions on whatever you have because some aren’t meant to be frozen, dish-washed and other nuances.

Which is your favorite? After looking at them all together I think the mine is the tumbler/to-go bottle convert, I like options without having to have more bottles! Let me know yours in the comments.

6 Easy Care Indoor Plants to Clean Your Air https://thekindanaturalmom.com/6-easy-care-indoor-plants-to-clean-your-air/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=6-easy-care-indoor-plants-to-clean-your-air Tue, 01 Feb 2022 04:01:22 +0000 https://thekindanaturalmom.com/?p=277 Read more

So you may have heard this already but plants actually can help keep the air in your home cleaner! They take a lot of the gross stuff in the air, do something with it and exchange it for clean good air. There is a ton of information on this if you just google but here is a link to an article from the 2009 Science Daily that reviews certain plants abilities to reduce the levels of Formaldehyde in your home. Formaldehyde is just one of the nasty chemicals that plants have been found to be able to remove from the air and help improve air quality in your home.

With all the time we spend in our homes it is so important to work to keep the air clean. Changing filters and air purifiers can help do this but so can some simple and fairly cheap plants! I compiled this list on a few different factors. The first and most important factor is that this plants are extremely hard to kill. Ya’ll I so badly want a green thumb but with children, jobs, animals and life I just do not have it. I also wanted the most important factor to be the plants that did the best job but I soon learned a dead plant doesn’t clean the air. I did use a variety of scientific articles that did studies on different types of plants and their ability to clean the air to ensure I was indeed getting varieties that clean your air.

This post contains affiliate links from Cellar Door Plants. They are an awesome small business started in a small town near Seattle, Washington. They donate monthly to a non-profit that plants trees to help restore forests! I love that their prices are amazing and sometimes even better than my local plant shops. They also include care tips, notes about plant safety for pets and kids and have a money back guarantee! Its a win-win-win!

Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo

This is number one in terms of easy to keep alive. I have 4 of these in my house they are easy to find in many stores, fairly cheap in price and truly so easy to care for. You do not need to know literally anything about plants to keep this bad boy alive ya’ll, I’m serious. Just fill the little basin with water and then when you don’t see water fill it again. You can forget about it for a while too, on accident but it still thrives. You also can take a few of the stalks out if they don’t make it. As far as cleaning the air the jury is out on this one. There are many sources online that state it does indeed clean the air but finding an actual research study with this specific species is challenging. At worst its beautiful, easy to care for and doesn’t do anything for air quality. At best its all those things but also keeps your air cleaner!

Golden Pothos

Golden Pothos by Severin Candrian

This is one recommended by a former Nasa scientist thanks to its ease to grow indoors and research showing it does indeed clean the air. This is another one that is super easy to find locally and can take quite a bit of absent mindedness in terms of care. I am currently working on growing my poor pothos back from one leave, and its up to 4 leaves already so that screams resilient! They also need very little light and basically “tell you” when to water them because their leaves start to droop!

Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata)

Snake Plant

This is another one that was featured in the large Nasa study on plants ability to clean the air. It is also very easy to take care of. It does well in indirect sunlight and mine seems to love my weekly to biweekly watering schedule. It grows sturdy and tall which makes it a nice decoration in your home as well. The Nasa study showed it has the ability to remove benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene and toluene.

Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum)

Spider Plant

This was also featured on that same Nasa study because of its ability to remove a ton of toxins. This one is really pretty and grows very easily. It needs pretty little light and does well with my hit or miss weekly to biweekly watering system. It’s also easy to remove dead leaves should they arise because they usually occur on the outside so you can just peel them off. Again this is super easy to find at a local store and I’ve often seen it just labeled as foliage without the actual name but its fairly easy to spot.

ZZ Plant

ZZ Plant

I have two of these and they are very easy to care for and actually grow into larger plants. I feel like some of my plants just kinda hang out the same size but both of my zz plants multiply and grow with very little effort on my part. These are able to filter out xylene from the air and like all plants release oxygen. As with all plants there are a ton of varieties of these but my darker almost black leaved one does amazing! It was a bit harder to find than my average green on from an actual nursery but it was worth it. They do not need a lot of light or water.

Monstera Adansonii

Monstera Vine

So this is one that kind of like the lucky bamboo, there is conflicting data on. Some say that it does clean the air, and others say that it does not. Regardless it is really pretty and unique looking. It is also super easy to grow. Mine currently has 3 new leaves coming in which is very exciting (is it exciting, did I just type that?). This is one that I had a bit of a hard time finding and picked it up from a local nursery. I have not seen it in stores before so I don’t want you to run out to our local hardware store and wonder if you’ll stumble upon this one with ease!

A note on all of these, please check and read safety information on them. While they can be beautiful and healthy for your home, some can be toxic to humans and animals if ingested. I know the monstera is toxic to animals and the golden pothos is toxic to animals and humans. Candy is traditionally full of added-sugar, dyes and various chemicals. One 5oz package of gummy bears has 63 grams of sugar which is 4 times the recommended daily intake for kids and almost 3 times the recommended intake for adults.

It also contains some ingredients such as yellow 5, red 40, and blue 1 which have been found to be contaminated with benzidine or other carcinogens.

On top of all that yuck, sugar is also know to cause serious dental issues in both children and adults! It also causes your skin to age prematurely making you look older than you actually are! So lets agree that slowing our roll on the amount of sugar we ingest is a good idea!

Giving up candy would suck though so instead of kicking candy to the curb, why not just choose smart brands that use non-toxic, real ingredients!

So inserting a little disclaimer here guys, this stuff is still candy! Some of it has ingredients that while non-toxic, they are manufactured in a lab. So obviously if you want something totally healthy, eat a piece fruit, am I right?

So remember, kinda natural Mama here is always going to choose to have some candy here and there.

Here is my go to list for healthy low or no sugar, all natural candy!

Smart Sweets

This brand is woman created and owned! Their phrase is kick sugar, keep candy which I can totally get down with! All their products do contain sugar but its a minimal amount, I am all about moderation and their products let you enjoy without that massive hit of sugar like traditional candy. They also contain high quality, well researched ingredients! They are pretty easy to locate and even in your local target. Prices for a package start at just under $3 a bag.

Yum Earth

This brand is also really good and easy to find! I’ve tried many of their products and regularly use their peppermints for after meals or upset stomach! They are sold in a ton of local places making them a quick grab if you’re short on time! They have organic ingredients, are vegan and contain no artificial coloring. I did include this brand as last because they do have moderately high sugar at closer to 3/4g for a piece of the candy. Yum earths products start around $4 a bag and go up for different things.

I strive to consistently make better choices about products, food and my overall lifestyle. A big part of this for me is reading actual research from peer reviewed sources to ensure that I provide as accurate information as possible!

This is a study called the toxicology of food dyes which discusses their finds on various food dyes regularly used today. Click here for the link if you’d like to read to more!

Which brand did you try or do you have any go to brands you like?
