<\/figure>Hi, I\u2019m Courtney, the Mom behind the kinda natural Mom! I am a major coffee lover (errr maybe addict), semi-health nut and nature enthusiast. My health journey started when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto\u2019s in my early 20s. I started doing all kinds of research on why me? A young, seemingly healthy, and active person getting diagnosed with a lifelong autoimmune condition didn\u2019t make sense to me. I still don\u2019t know the why me part but I learned a lot. The choices we make about from our food, to our beauty products and even our cleaning products can all have major effects on our bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through my research, trial and error and many lifestyle changes I started to find things that helped me feel better. I learned about the food we consume and the havoc that things like dyes and artificial ingredients can wreck on our immune systems. I learned the effects that too much sugar can have and alternatives to use instead. I also learned to listen to my body, tune in and truly feel how certain foods affected me.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
This took many, many years for me to learn. To learn how to source better, cleaner and healthier ingredients for my family. I want to share what I\u2019ve learned along the way and hopefully make your journey to healthier, cleaner lifestyle a little easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I chose the name the kinda natural Mom because it really reflects my personal choices. I still eat sugar and junk food, I don\u2019t use all organic everything and if my kids want a cupcake with food dye at a party I don\u2019t say no. I do strive to focus on living better in an overall sense but try not to sweat the small stuff!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I\u2019m not sourcing, researching and creating clean, healthy recipes and products, I am playing with my kids, going on nature walks, or visiting local farmers markets. I try to take my camera along to capture the everyday beauty but life gets busy and I don\u2019t always remember too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A big part of what I love to do is research, I actually loved the research phase when I gained my Masters in Education! I spend a lot of time researching products, articles and information for my own life that I share with you all here! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
